Exam season is basically procrastinating at its finest and this is certainly the case as of right now. I’ve been trying to keep myself low-key on social media and just in general but sitting in this box for a room for the last couple of weeks has driven me up the wall so instead of taking naps to subdue my boredom, I’ve productively started to waste my time playing with my Elf Eyeshadow palette.
Funny story about this palette because I never actually bought this product. For those who are into YouTube beauty gurus may have heard of Jackie Aina, whom by the way is one of my favourite online influencers in the world, and she had done a collaboration with Elf Cosmetics about a year ago and announced that she would be releasing her own exclusive palette. One issue – it was a limited edition. Long story short, I ordered but due to overwhelming demand Elf were not able to meet so they compensated customers with a gift package worth 5 times more than the original product (!!) which included a makeup brush set, gel eyeliner, and a full colour eye shadow palette – bargain right? Now back to the original topic lol…
I first started wearing eye shadow like a year ago and have always admired the cut crease and artistic eye shadow designs you see on Instagram. Is it only me who gets jealous of how easy makeup gurus make it look? In no way, shape or form am I half as good as them but one day I will be. Like they say, practice does make perfect.
Anyways here are a few pictures of my beginner-level styles. Tell me what you think in the comments below:
One thing I love about this product is how pigmented the shadows are, only thing is that I have to be careful of how much I use on the brush otherwise everything just gets ruined. Now let me back to
working on my crease game revision.
