Most of us have had trouble with our weight to some degree at least once in our lives – whether you’re skinny or big, all of us have insecurities and it’s perfectly fine. I was once very active until towards my adolescence then things started to change. I lost interest in most activities and indulged in junk food at every moment I could so overall I put on weight – loads. My confidence sunk to an all time low – all my clothes became tight and fitted (and not in a good way) and I despised at the look of my own reflection.
I knew that I needed to do something. So I joined the gym and ate meals that I had though were “healthy” but became no progress showed. I became very impatient and gave up on numerous occasions but deep down I knew if I had completely given up, I would never be happy. So after months of setbacks, I came across Kayla Itsines (pronounced It-Seen-Ess) – a personal trainer who created a 12 week workout guide accompanied by an in-depth nutritional guide that includes a few meal examples. After taking the time out to read the guides (they are quite lengthy lol), I realised that it isn’t just any old fad diet you see on the Internet. It aims to educate you on what steps is needed in order to achieve your health goals. Reading transformation stories from other girls who have followed the guides and having the opportunity to meet Kayla myself during one of her boot-camps has restored my motivation I needed to start again.
So from September, I will be starting (re)staring both her exercise and nutrition guides and posts updates on my progress on a monthly basis.
You can join me on my journey by purchasing her guides from her website by clicking on this link.
Until then, I’m going to stuff my face haha
