It’s been a year since I officially launched this blog!
This is a really big achievement for me as I have succumbed to a bad habit of giving up activities before I even begun to invest myself but I’m proud to be here a whole year later. Since launching my website, I have been mainly focusing on my branding and trying to discover the sole purpose of being a blogger as well as learning from other bloggers like Necole Bitchie (now xoNecole), Karen Civil as well as YouTubers who have now become major influencers e.g. Grace F Victory, itsMyRayeRaye and Patricia Bright. All have motivated me to take that step forward and not to give up hence why I’m probably still here today.
I have still a long way to go. I created some #BlogGoals at the beginning of the year which included stepping up my photography skills and being more consistent with my posts which have still proven to be difficult but I’m definitely determined to change that around by the end of this year. Everything is a learning process and I understand that some things may take longer than expected. I’ve purchased the Adobe student package which means I have full access to Photoshop and Premiere but it has proven to be more complicated than anticipated. In terms of being consistent, it’s still an ongoing process and I’m not really the one to make excuses because my grandmother always told me that anything is possible no matter the constraints ahead, but doing full-time work placement then finding the energy to keep up with the blogging is certainly not easy. However, I’m still very young in the blogging world and will eventually learn to manage my time effectively.
Another #BlogGoal I set myself this year was to get more involved – whether it was attending blog events or participating in chats. I’m not aware of any blogger events so if anybody knows any please them in the comments below – I would love to network and connect with bloggers in person and on social media.
Like I said before, I’ve still a long way to go but I would like to thank everyone who has passed by, retweeted my content or even liked my pictures – the small things are really appreciated. Toast to another progressive year ahead!
